one could say you could make a top 10 list for just about anything. well - Joost.com inspired me to put this page together...

  1. Earth Class Mail - mentioned by a friend and just saw a free episode of startup junkies and whoa - what I see is the launch of services to skip the need for paper!
  2. Landmark Education - leaders in transformational education
  3. Facebook - the social networking platform
  4. Apple Computer - future of computing; knack for hardware/software/device engineering (MacOSX)
    • iPhone - the dance warrior will live on...
  5. Intel - knack for integrating the personal computer revolution from the inside out!
    • Mac OS X support for the Intel platform was brilliant magic!
  6. Google - don't think I need to say to much here - acquisition of Writely.com did it for me.
  7. Joost.com - based on Skype technology (or common founders) - programming that appears to have high quality on a platform that appears to be pretty solid.
    • I am particularly interested in solutions to empower and train individuals to produce/broadcast their own channels (and avoid the quality issue of YouTube)
  8. Linden Lab - owns the space of virtual computing - bound to keep evolving!
    • see Facebook vs Second Life article...
  9. Gizmo Project - future of VoIP - fair competitor and underdog to Skype
    • web-based VoIP on iPhone will be the winner...
