Typing
typing Japanese on the computer is so much fun!!!! unlike trying to learn how to type on my Thai keyboard (which is one of the biggest reasons I bought my
macbook in Thailand believe it or not) - I'm not forced to hunt and peck and learn a new keyboard layout - I can take advantage of sounding out hiragana (ひらがな) which also helps me learn to read as a type. Mind you, there is a Japanese keyboard out there and this can wait until I have an intermediate level of reading & writing is what I'm declaring right now.
Resources
Schools
- I was asked to consider Thai language classes at PIAMMITR - i may be there sooner than I thought for...Japanese! (UPDATE: taking my first classes Feb 20-Mar 12th!)
- TPA School of Language and Culture - Jue was nice to bring me here for an open house - I wrote my name in Japanese for the first time not to mention stumbled my way through Korean! (I believe the location is Thong Lo) - 02 259 9160
- Oriental Knowledge and Language School - referenced by Pasan
- Berlitz - without dropping in, i assume tuition is more expensive but what I would love forward to are professional instruction manuals which may very well be worth the price alone!
PIAMITR
stuff I'm learning here - this serves as my cheatsheet when i don't have my books with me...
